Grown Woman Life Podcast Review

There are so many dimensions of diversity, and the spectrum of diversity leaders and consultants are equally broad. The host of The Next Pivot point is carving out a niche in the importance of allies.

Julie is rather soft-spoken, and so you may not expect the podcast to have a bold, brilliant, and badass perspective on diversity. Check your biases peeps! As referred to during one of The Next Pivot Point episodes, candor, courage, equality, and empathy are needed for progress.

Julie engages her guests and audience in such a transparent way that the conversations DO tackle the true challenges with moving from “diversity metrics and marketing” to candidate conversations.

In episode 88 with Dr. Kristen Liesch, Kristen gives us a call to action to stop participating in window dressing exercises and creating cultures of inclusion that are non-negotiable.

In episode 89, Cis-Gender white male guest Devin Halliday boldly talks about the recognition of his privilege.

Julie even admits her own mistakes in language and her need to learn from the perspective of others continually.

The Next Pivot Point is a great listen that provide provocation, resources, and perspective and is available in Apple and Google podcasts.
